Brief Summary- Now the that the family has moved into their new home, they learn from their lithuanian neighbor, Grandmother Majauskiene, that the deal on the house was a scam. The family learns that if they miss one monthly payment of now $20, they will be evicted immediately. Packington's immigration population was first German, than Irish, and now Slovakian. Ona and Stanislovas have both picked up jobs. In this chapter we are introduced to the family's neighbor and we learn how hard it really is to maintain a piece of property and why so many immigrants come and go.
